japan!

Gonna talk about the japan trip. Not gonna be able to complete it in one post. Will do more illustrations and give less words. Im sure you will understand. Thanks.

Our Chauffers!! Nah..just joking they were waiting for more important people i guess.. oh well.
Arrived at Tokyo-Narita airport. Japan's time is actually one hour faster than Singapore's so adjust your watches!

I think Yakuza mob boss was alighting at this airport. The sub-chief is seen here directing the members. Cool..what do you think?

We stayed near the airport (15mins away by coach) for our first night as it was already dark when we reached the airport. It was called Hotel Nikko Chitose. The tour guide told us for this first night we will eat food that we really hate..Chinese food!

Didn't know Japan people liked vintage cars since it was a major car exporter with all the new and cool cars.

This would be it for the first day in japan.

First day...

Today was gonna be the day that i went into Nanyang JC. It was terrible to say the least.. maybe because it was orientation 2, maybe its just the school. I hope i would learn to love the school more as the days go by.
Well, spent 3 whole hours listening to all the bloody talks about subject combination which and the NY mission and all. I realized that many schools did not get to the main point but likes to take a long time beating around the bush but would not still get to the point. We came to JC for the sole objective securing a place for university. Instead of telling us like what combination would allow you to take most of the courses in uni, the teachers went blabbering about how good that subject would work for you and persuading you to join that subject. What were they thinking??? Subject combination "CCA Maze"?
Spent the rest of the time with JF exploring the whole campus and avoiding OGs.. haha it was fun exploring. Found an interesting place :)
What really saved the day was the class treat with Miss Jazilah! Love chem because of her. 10 plus of us ate and chatted and had a merry time and we all got a free meal!! YEAH!

A kind hearted soul!

this was yesterday when i was aboard a bus and i just came back from japan the day before. Apparently i left my ezlink card at home and i didnt remember to put it back.. i was short of coins! Bus driver told me to change notes for coins and i did. Therefore i met this man in his 30s i guess. he was fumbling for coins when i asked to change $2. He realized he was still short, then he gave me 2 50cent coins and gestured me to have it. Bless him!!!

New Year Eve!

Well basically we had a big clean up for our house the entire afternoon! Mopping...cleaning...scrubbing...Ewwing...till its squeaky clean! Unfortunately this applies to only the porch and the living room as well as the dining room. Shan't get too detailed in the mess. Till evening , is where we had our reunion dinner with my uncle and his "angel" at Majestic hotel. It is somewhere really close to Chinatown. You know the night before, my uncle actually gave me a Digital camera! Brand: Canon EOS20D. Don't even know half of its function...

Well this is a pic i took of them.. Doesn't look really impressive, just learning the day before. So cut some slack!

This is the picture i took compared to my uncles'. Didn't capture the light well.

While his picture did! He's teaching me right now.

This place is the second floor of the Majestic Hotel. Its design is really unique! Heard its always full. Go there and see see if you have the time people!

Family and the photographer!

To digest as well as to really get into the atmosphere of CHINESE NEW YEAR. Where better to go than to Chinatown! The heart of the celebration!

Interesting thing i saw was this "Statue". She is standing for hours on ends with this make up and get up! You don't see this in Chinatown! But there she is!

Busy Busy!! Get me the plastic bags!!!! Can't even wipe my sweat! Is this pic artistic??

An Unusual looking plate of some kind? Anyone knows what it means? reckon its malacca. Odd ya?

After that went to watch Ah Long PTE LTD. Not really funny... doesn't carry enough sarcasm. Story ain't really nice either. Quit disappointed but a good day overall!

Crashing VJC!

We crashed VJC Yesterday! It was with Gavin only cos the rest can't make it. This would be the last I would be able to crash cos after it would be new year and after i would be in hokkaido! Show you some pictures i took:

VJ people LOVE to celebrate people's birthday. I heard 5 birthday songs in just that day but some are repeats..haha. Poor guy got cake smashed for his birthday. It was also Gillian Choo's birthday too you know? Her friends sang for her twice, must be pretty popular. Met her at lecture which i'm going to tell later. So if you like to celebrate birthdays, it would be good to go to VJ!

This would be econs lecture which is really boring. Glen Ang, who studies here attended this lecture with us. This lecturer was not able to capture the students' attention and always use TOILET PAPER as examples for the lecture... we asked her to try sandpaper instead. Hmm so lectures are basically the same in all schools i guess..

Gavin and i got really bored and started doodling on paper. This would be my doodle. Prinny Dood!

During break we saw chin cher and the moment he saw us, he raised his hands and pointed at us, sucked in air, and started shouting: "CRASHERS! CRASHERS!" Lucky no one really looked at us..whew. Then we went to buy VJ's badge in order to blend in more.

After that we attended history lecture which gillian was in. That was how i got to know its her birthday cos someone pasted "Today is my birthday" paper on her back. That is really how VJcians are really on about their friends' birthday. We sat beside these two girls and started talking due to a friendly misunderstanding(something about angels and mortals). Conversation goes:

They: Hey why aren't you with your class?

Us: We are really good buddies, usually sit together.

They: Oh...you all what class?

Us : 08S35 Bio class

They: Oh... What subject combi?

Me: BCME.

They: Oh...

Gavin(whisper to me): BCME!??

Omg, I screwed us up man. Then we began laughing cos no need for pretense le. lol, sorry gavin for not thinking quick enough. Do you all get it?? hint: History lecture.

It took them like 15 mins then they asked: You all crashers right??

"Yeah Yeah we are.."

The two girls (not form cedar) were really friendly man, they then lend us notes for the lecture while they shared one. Such good people exists in VJC! Love them!

However there would always be contrasting people in school. They would be the Cedarians there. They are incredibly "Dao". I met my p.sch friend ping hui and i waved at her. She actually looked right at me and later looked away as if she didn't recognize me, despite seeing recognition in her face. Zhi yang agrees with me too, who is a student there. Seems to me like they were really arrogant, 狗眼看人低.

Later on we made cards for our secondary school teachers at Parkway KFC:

That would be it for the day. Went home for a sumptous meal!

Good Day!

We finally brushed off our losing streak! It is actually in relation with Dota. The past week i have been losing every game i played and that's really irritating! I must give thanks to Jarvis who owned!! and Jian ming the mentor to the OWNer! and Moses the chionger! and Jiafu the pro! and of course me the Host!!!thank you!!
In the morning met jiafu and shengyang and gang for a bout of street soccer. i must say i became real rusty...but it was all fun!

Celebrating Jiafu's belated birthday!

For those who don't know jiafu , i was'nt able to produce the picture of him at this time cos they don't wanna take pictures! Well never mind, just know him by 帅哥. WE (moses jianming angus kengyang jarvis jiafu and me) met at city halland proceeded to New York New York for the celebration! WE ordered lots of food man. one killer example:

We figured it was equivalent to 6 BIG MACs. Pity from the view you couldnt see the patty. Even this picture did not show the full extent of food we shoved into our mouths. If i remember correctly, we ordered Fish and Chips, Ribs, that YANKEE burger (it said serves four), seafood platter and a spring chicken for six people only! Then began the game of suanning birthday boy..getting nine points must tiam tiam.Because Angus came really late he ate 1/12 of that burger so he's not counted. (while reading please remember that jiafu is the main character, not the food. thank you.) Later we went to marina square for a game of pool ya. Then a collaboration by jarvis and moses while all of us were walking to city hall to take the train home:

M: I put 50cent in the vending machine then i press the green tea button. What do i get?

J: Mee POK

M: Correct!

The rest: HUH?? LOL!! hahahaha!! WTH!?So random!!??

They were talking in code which we were not able to understand. Can anyone shed light on this matter??? Reached home and cycled for a while.

AHHHH!!

Oh My GOD! Today on my way home in the afternoon i elbowed a woman on her face on a bus! It wasn't intentional of course. It's that i lost my balance and fell. Trying to get a handhold i knocked that woman! Its not exactly elbowing but just that my elbow pushed against her face man! But thank my lucky stars she smiled and said it was ok and her boyfriend sitting next to her didn't beat me up! I was mortified...what a day.
